Family law courts utilized by Del Mar residents are those found in San Diego. Our Del Mar attorneys are here to help you with all your family law representation. Whether your case is contested or not contested, legal advice can be a very sound investment since it is costly and, sometimes, not legally possible to change a written agreement. It is imperative that you understand what your legal rights and legal obligations are before entering into any agreement to settle your case. For example, division of assets and debts are part of every legal separation and divorce case. If you enter into a judgment for, example, sale of a residence this may be enforced even if you change your mind later or circumstances change in future. There is a provision under San Diego law that you can ask to set aside the judgment but there are strict time limits and requirements. It is a much better procedure to make sure the agreement is what you want. If you can reach an agreement, this can be submitted to the Judge and no appearance necessary. If you cannot reach an agreement, then a court hearing will be required. The court house for Del Mar family law cases is in the San Diego court house.
