Additional Court Closures for 2009-2010
The San Diego Superior Court is taking the unprecedented step of closing all State of California Courts to public business {filings and court hearings included} on each third Wednesday of each month for September 16, 2009 through June 16, 2010 to save money. A decision will be made in 2010 as to whether to extend this. As some court hearings are scheduled for the below dates, it is crucial to know all of the dates that the Court’s are closed. Some are holidays you would expect and some are holidays you may not. Some are holidays which are observed by the federal government, some by the state government and some by both. These include the court houses in all areas of San Diego County including Vista, Chula Vista, El Cajon and San Diego and any others which are located within the borders of San Diego County. For family law, these include the main family law court house in downtown San Diego, the Madge Bradley court house in downtown San Diego, Chula Vista, Vista and El Cajon.
Below is a complete list from September 16, 2009 through January 1, 2010 for the currently posted court holidays. Please make sure to look at the San Diego Superior Court website for current information for the complete 2010 calendar of hours and holidays.
